About the Project:

Russian Language School is a non-profit project dedicated to promoting the Russian language and providing accessible and effective instruction for all learners.

We believe that:

  • Russian is a rich and beautiful language that can open doors to new opportunities.
  • Everyone should have the opportunity to learn Russian, regardless of their age, background, or skill level.
  • Learning Russian should be affordable, engaging, fun, and enjoyable.

Our Goals:

  • Create a series of educational cartoons for different language proficiency levels.
  • Develop interactive and engaging materials to make learning Russian simpler and more accessible.
  • Unite a community of people passionate about the Russian language and culture.

Why Cartoons?

Because cartoons are the fastest and most effective way to learn a foreign language! Our cartoons transform Russian language learning into an interesting and engaging story, which helps maintain motivation for learning. Cartoons illustrate all grammar rules and vocabulary, making them much easier to understand and remember. Educational cartoons fully immerse learners in an authentic language environment. Cartoons help develop all language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This form of learning is the most accessible for people of all ages, as our cartoons are enjoyed by children, adults, and seniors alike.

Join Our Project! Together, we can make learning Russian accessible and enjoyable for everyone!

Russian Language School
Why did you create the Russian Language School project?
We want to make learning Russian accessible, engaging, and effective for people of all nationalities, ages, and levels of proficiency. And we're already making it happen! We've created several series of educational cartoons tailored to learners with varying language backgrounds. Currently, we're working on the cartoon "An American in Russia." Simultaneously, we're developing the animated series "Russian Language with the Ivanov Family," aimed at foreigners just starting to learn Russian, as well as the cartoon "An American Woman in Russia," geared towards those with intermediate Russian language skills.
Why did you choose the cartoon format for teaching Russian?
Cartoons are the most accessible, easy, and effective way to learn Russian, or any other foreign language for that matter! Bright and cheerful animation transforms language learning into an interesting and engaging story, which undoubtedly has a positive impact on maintaining a person's motivation to learn. You can spend hours explaining grammar rules to a student and forcing them to learn new words, or you can instead show them a few cartoons. And undoubtedly, the effect of cartoons in terms of learning materials will be much higher than that of standard educational processes.

Another reason is the age of the learners! Try to name at least one learning format, other than cartoons, that is suitable for both a five-year-old child and a 70-year-old retiree. There are simply no similar formats! And people of all ages watch our cartoons with interest. This allows us to scale our educational product to a wider audience and attract more foreigners to learn Russian.
Why did you decide to work on the Russian Language School project for free?
The Russian language is not just a language; it's a part of my soul. From childhood, I was captivated by its richness, melody, and beauty.

I have dedicated my life to studying the Russian language. I received a degree in "Russian Language and Literature Teacher" and then continued my education at Moscow State University, becoming a qualified teacher of Russian as a foreign language.

My personal goal is to make the Russian language accessible to people all over the world. Already in my mature years, I was then 44 years old, I started studying 2D animation, took several courses, specifically to create educational cartoons that will help foreigners learn Russian. Therefore, I do not consider the Russian Language School project as a job, for me it is an opportunity to realize my dream.
What will the raised funds be used for?
The funds will be used to create 5 new episodes of the cartoon "An American in Russia," purchase a more powerful computer for working with 2D animation, and promote the project.
Do you have any bonuses for sponsors?
Yes, of course, there are! All project sponsors will be:
  • Listed in the credits of the cartoon "An American in Russia."
  • Added to the project's Support Map.
  • Our sponsors on Boosty and YouTube will get access to exclusive materials - excerpts from cartoons that are not published anywhere else. Also, for sponsors on these platforms, we provide earlier access to our new educational cartoons!
What results do you expect from the implementation of the project?
We expect that as a result of the project implementation, more people around the world will be able to learn Russian, and its study will become more accessible and engaging. We also believe that the Russian Language School project will become well-known and popular. And most importantly, what we hope for is that the community of people passionate about the Russian language and culture will become more united.
How can I support your project?
You can support our project:
  • By making a one-time donation;
  • Becoming a sponsor of the "Russian Language School" channel on Boosty and YouTube;
  • Telling your friends and family about our project;
  • Sharing this page on social networks.
